What the Republican Party needs to get through their collective skulls right now is the fact that the age of politics as usual is over.

No more compromise. No more deals. No more bipartisanship.

There must be a radical clean up of the mess that the Left has created. The partisans of socialism must be systematically removed from our public institutions. And if we are to have a future as the core nation of our civilization we must make a special effort to clean out the Augean Stables that our educational establishment has become under the tutelage of the Left.

And we must with volume and clarity tell the spoiled brats who imagine themselves to be the heirs of Marx and Lenin to grow up or get out.

Of course, if those idiots would just die, it would be nice too.

Mikhail Gorbachev, the former leader of the USSR, said recently that Moammar Ghadafi could be run out of Libya due to the violent force used to combat the protests.

"Gadhafi reacted so ruthlessly that he might end up being forced out (of his country),” Gorbachev told CNN. “I don't want to make predictions or anything, but he's shooting at people; he is using the military and weapons against defenseless people."

Um, isn't that pretty much the definition of how the Soviet State operated?

You simply can not have Socialism, or "social justice", or any other political order that operates on looting without the exercise of deadly force against the productive population.

The only alternative to a social and political order based on the principle of consent is coercion by physical force. (The emission of fraudulent ideologies only serves to cloud the issue.)

As the present looting spree by the Tax Eaters continues we will eventually see mobs of overburdened taxpayers taking to the streets with their fists in the air and chanting: "HELL NO! WE DON'T OWE!"*

To the various gangs of Tax Eaters, who depend on tax revenue for their sustenance, this is nothing less than a death sentence. And their patrons in executive office on the state and federal level will respond to a tax strike with open and deadly force.

They simply have no other choice.

* Yes, I know what's going on in Wisconsin. I'm simply predicting that things will get a lot worse.

Because human life is so precious, war should never be undertaken unless our rights are threatened. It is often said that our soldiers must sacrifice themselves for our country. This is precisely what we must not ask them to do. A sacrifice entails the surrender of a greater value for a lesser one. But if a man loses his life on the premise, "I would rather die than live in slavery," it is a tragic loss—but it is not a sacrifice. Such a man is acting in his own interests, to protect his most precious values.

The ransom demand you obediently delivered to us is that we must submit to your captor’s restrictions against our rightful freedom on our own property, or they’ll kill you.

And I remind you that you are the most respected general in the present day, commanding in the most powerful military in all of history, during the most justifiable war in the last seventy years. And some of us remain a proudly defiant people to this day. So if your “mission” is to build understanding in the world, then make sure they understand that about us.

When we can burn our own copies of the Koran on our own soil without credible threats from jihadists or appeasement of those threats from our military and our government, then we will gladly stop burning them.

We may live in occupied territory psychologically, but we do not yet live in occupied territory legally or physically. We will do as we please, and we will continue to expect all branches of our government to secure our right to do it.

I remind you that securing our rights is the only legitimate reason that governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

And not everybody among the governed consents to surrendering our rights to terrorists. We will ensure that you either join us in resisting them, or get out of the way.

To those who believe in and live by the Primacy of the Parasite, power over the productive population is a moral necessity, a requirement of their mode of existence. In effect, power is life.

The ideal of the Left is in fact a master/slave social and economic order with themselves in the role of the masters. If the slaves are simply allowed to walk away the Left would simply die. This simply cannot be allowed from the moral perspective of the Left.

But to the slave life as livestock under someone else's control is without value. Only as a free person, and if necessary over the dead bodies of the masters, can an individual live as a fully human being.

There is a reason that slave revolts -- and that's what the Tea Party is from the perspective of the Left -- are one of the ugliest forms of mass violence there is. It is because both sides are literally fighting for their lives.

Yup, Option #3 looks like the right one. Charles Krauthammer also nails the utter cluelessness of the democrats in the wake of the recent miracle in Massachusetts.

To recap the video, Mr. Krauthammer states that our Dear Leader left out option #3 when discussing how his term in office will be seen. His record so far is one of mediocrity at best, and he doesn't show any indication of improvement. So, he will probably be a mediocre one term President, with ratings that high only because of a fawning press.

Liberal Double Standards

The following is post I made to Facebook thread, promoting Pat Robertson voodoo dolls. There was much indignation at my suggestion that there be an accompanying Danny Glover doll for his assertion that the earthquake hit Haiti for crimes against Gaia.

The people of Haiti are in much more immediate danger from the sadly uniform governmental corruption that all too common in the third world than either climate change (natural or induced by human action) or the “wrath of God.” What I find disturbing is that both Robertson and Glover are using this human tragedy of Biblical Proportions (I’m using the term as a reference of scale, not to indicate any possible cause) to promote their own political/religious agendas. Was what Robertson said provocative enough to cause a great deal of people to smite him verily across the cheek with the back of their hand? Clearly so. I’m not knocking the voodoo doll idea. I’ve got a few myself and Robertson has a history of making public statements that provoke that kind of response. So does Glover, although generally with a different set of people. (The Pink Pistols probably are horked off at both, but they are a pretty broad minded group in general). One difference between Robertson and Glover is that, based on past disasters, Robertson’s group will likely be one of the first groups to get aid supplies into Haiti. After Katrina hit shore, his group got aid into the area before FEMA, the Red Cross and the state government. So while Robertson often says things that sound like someone seriously off his meds (go ahead, stick another pin in), his actions show that he remembers the Christian concept of “Hate the sin. Love the Sinner.” That puts him head of a lot of other TV preachers, such as that uber-jerk Jim Baker. That aside, both Robertson and Glover are jerks for using this human tragedy to promote their own political/religious agendas. The same holds for anyone who blames an earthquake on: the hunting of whales, communism, greed on Wall Street, the Grays or my personal favorite, the Bavarian Illuminati. You can argue the level of jerkiness, but the basic label still applies.

I expect that most leftists will not be able to see reason on this topic.

The first two Doc Savage novels.

The first Doc Savage novel I read was The Land of Terror back in either 1971 or 1972. It was a Bantam reprint that I picked up at store in Panama City just outside the Balboa Gate. Since then, I have read over 160 of the original 181 Doc Savage novels, as well as several by Philip Jose Farmer (licensed or otherwise) and Will Murray. IMNSHO, Doc Savage was the greatest of the Pulp Era Heros.

Then there is the subject of evolution on Pandora. All the animals have six limbs. Four up front and two in the back. All of them, including the Pterodactyl like creatures. Four wings and pair of legs. Four eyes as well. One pair above sightly farther out than the inner pair.

Everything except the Terminator Smurfs. Two eyes, and four limbs.

Radically different biology, yet they could mesh their nervous system with the local animals.
Did the Terminator Smurfs braid their hair to protect the nerve bundle or did it grow like that naturally.

Oh, why did the Pterodactyl like creatures naturally develop stirrups for the Terminator Smurfs?

With all the "scientists" they had on that planet, why didn't any notice that the Terminator Smurfs obviously didn't evolve there?

Facts don't matter to Palin haters

Ask most people on the right on why they don’t like our Dear Leader and most will be able to articulate specific policy issues they disagree with. OK, often they sum it up with “He’s a Socialist,” but when pressed, they can cite actual policies and give details.

Ask a typical hater of Gov. Sarah Palin why they don’t like her, and most can, at best, deliver quotes made by Tina Fey, and try to attribute them to Gov. Palin. If you press them for details, they tend to get angry and often blame you for attempting to insert reality into their irrational hatred that makes them feel all warm and fuzzy.

Proud ignorance is sadly a common feature of Obama supporters.

If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans, would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence?

If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?

If George W Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?

Taxs found so far in the 1900+ page democrat "heath care" bill

Here is a list of the new taxes you will be paying found so far:

Employer Mandate Excise Tax (Page 275): If an employer does not pay 72.5 percent of a single employee’s health premium (65 percent of a family employee), the employer must pay an excise tax equal to 8 percent of average wages. Small employers (measured by payroll size) have smaller payroll tax rates of 0 percent (<$500,000), 2 percent ($500,000-$585,000), 4 percent ($585,000-$670,000), and 6 percent ($670,000-$750,000).

Individual Mandate Surtax (Page 296): If an individual fails to obtain qualifying coverage, he must pay an income surtax equal to the lesser of 2.5 percent of modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) or the average premium. MAGI adds back in the foreign earned income exclusion and municipal bond interest.

Medicine Cabinet Tax (Page 324): Non-prescription medications would no longer be able to be purchased from health savings accounts (HSAs), flexible spending accounts (FSAs), or health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs). Insulin excepted.

Cap on FSAs (Page 325): FSAs would face an annual cap of $2500 (currently uncapped).

Increased Additional Tax on Non-Qualified HSA Distributions (Page 326): Non-qualified distributions from HSAs would face an additional tax of 20 percent (current law is 10 percent). This disadvantages HSAs relative to other tax-free accounts (e.g. IRAs, 401(k)s, 529 plans, etc.)

Denial of Tax Deduction for Employer Health Plans Coordinating with Medicare Part D (Page 327): This would further erode private sector participation in delivery of Medicare services.

Surtax on Individuals and Small Businesses (Page 336): Imposes an income surtax of 5.4 percent on MAGI over $500,000 ($1 million married filing jointly). MAGI adds back in the itemized deduction for margin loan interest. This would raise the top marginal tax rate in 2011 from 39.6 percent under current law to 45 percent—a new effective top rate.

Excise Tax on Medical Devices (Page 339): Imposes a new excise tax on medical device manufacturers equal to 2.5 percent of the wholesale price. It excludes retail sales and unspecified medical devices sold to the general public.

Corporate 1099-MISC Information Reporting (Page 344): Requires that 1099-MISC forms be issued to corporations as well as persons for trade or business payments. Current law limits to just persons for small business compliance complexity reasons. Also expands reporting to exchanges of property.

Delay in Worldwide Allocation of Interest (Page 345): Delays for nine years the worldwide allocation of interest, a corporate tax relief provision from the American Jobs Creation Act

Limitation on Tax Treaty Benefits for Certain Payments (Page 346): Increases taxes on U.S. employers with overseas operations looking to avoid double taxation of earnings.

Codification of the “Economic Substance Doctrine” (Page 349): Empowers the IRS to disallow a perfectly legal tax deduction or other tax relief merely because the IRS deems that the motive of the taxpayer was not primarily business-related.

Application of “More Likely Than Not” Rule (Page 357): Publicly-traded partnerships and corporations with annual gross receipts in excess of $100 million have raised standards on penalties. If there is a tax underpayment by these taxpayers, they must be able to prove that the estimated tax paid would have more likely than not been sufficient to cover final tax liability.

First off, ya…I’m a big fan of John Ringo’s books, and he’s written a lot of them. I’ve been reading the Sluggy Freelance comic, which gets a lot of references in his books, even longer and I’m a long time Schlock Mercenary fan too.

I took a peek at the leaked advanced chapters for his next book, Live Free or Die, over at Buckley’s site (ya, that Buckley) and Ringo explains in the forward that this book is “sort of playing about” in the Schlock Mercenary universe, but back when the galactic civilization first made contact with Earth.

Now to highlight what an evil being John Ringo is (something he freely and perhaps just a bit too gleefully admits), this book won’t be released until February 2010. Oh…Baen will have an e-ARC version available earlier, which could be mind for about the cost of the hardcover that won’t be out for another four months.

Ok, so both John Ringo and Baen Books are EVIL! I say that with the highest level of respect for their grasp of the capitalistic system.

While I’m here, I’ll put in a good word for Baen’s ebook sales. No DRM (i.e. the copy ‘protection’ crap that assumes that their paying customers are thieves), available in multiple formats, and when new books are released in hardcover, you can pick up the e-book version, direct from Baen, for usually $6. If that is still too much for you, check out what they have on the net for free! If you haven’t read of any of John Ringo’s books, you can read seven of his book for free.

Yesterday I posted a link to news story to the RWING mailing list and the first paragraph of the story about a detail of Die Grosse Null's plan for destroying the health of Americans.

"Americans would be fined up to $3,800 for failing to buy health insurance under a plan that circulated in Congress on Tuesday as divisions among Democrats undercut President Barack Obama's effort to regain traction on his health care overhaul."

Are we now on a plantation? Or is the Chicago Democrat setting up a protection racket?

This morning when I clicked on the link I found that the story had been changed. The subject of the original first paragraph had been moved down the page and rewritten.

"One provision would fine families up to $3,800 for failing to buy health insurance, essentially requiring that everyone have medical coverage, much like the case with car insurance. Obama rejected a mandate, and fines, during his presidential campaign."

Oh, they were only thinking about it, but they decided not to do it. (Or have they?)

They should not have been thinking about it at all.

What do they, both in our so-called government and in the mainstream media, think we are? A bunch of mindless animals?

I'll update this story as circumstances require.

The democrat's "stimulus" bill has been proven to be what it was labeled when it was rammed through congress and down the throats of the American people, a "porkulus" bill. It was supposed to boost the economy, but has had the predictable, opposite effect.

Of course the democrat's porkulus bill isn't helping the economy. That isn't what it was intended to do. The goal of the Obama administration is not to fix the economy, but to fundamentally change the role of government in the United States of America.

Kim Basinger won an Oscar for her role in this film. Other cast members includes: Russell Crowe, Guy Pearce, Kevin Spacey, and James Cromwell. Cromwell shows his range in this role. His other work has included Star Trek films and the “Revenge of the Nerds” films. Part the films depth is watching the growth of the characters played by Crowe, Pearce and Spacey. In all, it’s a dark, well made film that tells its story through complex characters.

The 1982 film noir classic, complete with David Bowie doing the title song. A great cast including Nastassja Kinski, Malcolm McDowell, and Annette O’Toole (That’s Superboy’s mom for you Smallville fans). This is a remake of the 1942 original (which I admit to not having seen yet), with plenty of casual nudity by Kinski & O’Toole and more than its fair share of gore. That includes a scene involving Ed Begley Jr.. Don’t worry, it’s one of the gore scenes, not one of the casual nudity scenes.

Laurie Chassin co-chairs the ASU Honorary Degree Committee along with Christine Wilkinson, but she is on sabbatical this year and is not involved in this year’s evaluations. According to a source within the administration, she reportedly received death threats after this story hit national news on Thursday. An ASU spokesperson said they started receiving hate-email within minutes after the story was published on Huffington Post.

The President’s friend and advisor, the terrorist William Ayers should be proud.

Corrupt democrat Congressman John Murtha is continuing his pattern of pork barrel spending.

Four of the earmark requests from Murtha’s office are for current or former clients of a lobbying firm, the PMA Group, that is currently under federal investigation for connection to possible "straw" donations to Murtha and other Democratic members of the House.

Murtha also has not yet apologized to the cleared US Marines he insulted.

The president's e-mail list of 13-million resulted in just 114,000 individual pledges — a response rate of less than 1 percent. Party workers secured another 100,000 signatures by hitting the streets. The DNC arrived at its 642,000 figure by making three photocopies of each petition so that every signer's senators and representative could get one.

DNC spokesperson Natalie Wyeth responded: "This effort was designed to give our supporters the tools to influence their elected officials. Of course we delivered a pledge to each of their members of Congress — 642,000 pledges. That's what we said we were delivering and that's what we did."

When asked about the impression in the DNC press release that there were 642,000 unique pledges, she offered no response.

Gosh, what a surprise.

AIG execs pressured to donate to democrat Senator Dodd

The Washington Times has the story on how the Senate Banking Committee Chair, democrat Chris Dodd, collected large donations from AIG employees.

Mr. Dodd's campaign quickly hit pay dirt, collecting more than $160,000 from employees and their spouses at the AIG Financial Products division (AIG-FP) in Wilton, Conn., in the days before he took over as the committee chairman in January 2007. Months later, the senator transferred the donations to jump-start his 2008 presidential bid, which later failed.

Now, two years later, Mr. Dodd has emerged as a central figure in the government's decision to let executives at the now-failing AIG collect more than $218 million in bonuses, according to the Connecticut attorney general - even as the company was receiving billions of dollars in assistance from the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). He acknowledged that he slipped a provision into legislation in February that authorized the bonuses, but said the Treasury Department asked him to do it.

The employees were told, "If you agree," to write checks for $2,100 from themselves and their spouses and to send them to Mr. Dodd's campaign within four days. They also were to ask the senior members of their management teams to do the same and send copies of their checks to the company.

The Dodd campaign collected $162,100 from AIG-FP employees and their spouses within six weeks of the e-mail, according to data from the Center for Responsive Politics and the Federal Election Commission.

Note that the employees were told to send copies of their checks to the company. That may be legal, but it clearly crosses an ethical line.

Our Dear Leader's so-called "Cap and Trade" program is really a "Cap and Tax" program that is going to suck more money from the paychecks of every American.

This energy tax is going to hit the poorest the hardest, since they pay the largest percentage of their income on energy costs (electricity, heating and transportation).

White House sources have admitted that this will be an average increase of $1,800 per family!

Eric Laneuville plays Norris’ adopted son, in his second martial arts film (the first was 1974’s Black Belt Jones), and later appeared in “St. Elsewhere.”

Marion Barry, tax cheat

Former democrat D.C. Mayor, and former crackhead, Marion Barry has joined the ranks of many prominent democrats.

He is, like our Dear Leader's Secretary of the Treasury, a tax cheat.

According to the Washington Post, Barry "owes the federal government more than $277,000 in back taxes and skipped at least six months of recent payments on taxes owed to the D.C. government, according to federal authorities.”

Another One Bites the Dust!

Yet another one of BHO's selections, this one for Deputy Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, has removed his name from the running. It was disclosed that Jon Cannon was on the board of a nonprofit group faulted for mishandling federal grant money.

A 2007 EPA inspector general's report on the foundation alleged a variety of irregularities involving $25 million in federal grants to assess water quality problems, including those at farms and pork processing facilities. The problems with accounting, improper cash advances and similar violations stretched from 1998 to 2005, according to the report.

If you look at the carefully edited photographs of our Dear Leader last night posted by CNN and MSNBC, you'll quickly notice what's missing.

His teleprompter screens.

BHO addiction to his teleprompter, and his gaffe filled stuttering speaking style, without it have been noted by those who pay even the slightest bit of attention.

Red State points out the truth. Our Dear Leader didn't go teleprompter cold turkey. His teleprompter was "upgraded to a full-size plasma screen at the back of the room from which to read his remarks."

In this book, she is a Commander and has just received her second "Hyper" command. Insight into BHO

Some our Dear Leader's recent actions give some valuable insight into his policies and priorities. Here are three examples.

Wanting disabled vets to pick up their own tab at VA hospitals. That Jon Stewart jumped on him over this, is a clear sign that this was an incredible stupid idea. It also gives an insight into BHO’s priorities. Money for Disabled military veterans is OK to cut from the budget. $900 million for the terrorist group Hamas and billions for the vote fraud specialists at ACORN is a good place to spend US tax payer dollars.

His “gift” for the British Prime Minister. The British PM gives a thoughtful and historically significant gift designed to honor the new President. BHO gives the Prime Minister, who is blind in one eye and in danger of losing sight in his other eye, a set of DVDs. To further demonstrate the lack of thought in this gift, the DVDs are not encoded in the regional format for the UK, i.e. they won’t play in most UK DVD players. The only thing more insulting would to have included Netflicks return envelopes.

Picking Hillary Rodham Clinton as Secretary of State. From a political standpoint, it was smart move. It got her out of the Senate, where she was seen as a strong party leader. From a governing the country standpoint, it doesn’t seem that smart. How many fluent Russian speakers are there in the State Department? Enough to get the word “reset” translated properly is a pretty safe bet. HRC couldn’t find one though. The Russians have to be questioning her basic competence now. HRC is infamous for selecting staff for their personal loyalty to her above all else. Is she letting that go down to the level of picking a translator on that basis rather than competence in the Russian language? It appears so. HRC is certainly smart, and politically savvy, but foreign policy was never her strong point. BHO it seems, was more concerned about removing a political rival from a position that threatened him, than selecting a qualified individual for an important foreign policy position.
