A READER AT A MAJOR NEWSROOM EMAILS: "Off the record, every suspicion you have about MSM being in the tank for O is true. We have a team of 4 people going thru dumpsters in Alaska and 4 in arizona. Not a single one looking into Acorn, Ayers or Freddiemae. Editor refuses to publish anything that would jeopardize election for O, and betting you dollars to donuts same is true at NYT, others. People cheer when CNN or NBC run another Palin-mocking but raising any reasonable inquiry into obama is derided or flat out ignored. The fix is in, and its working." According to Pelosi the entire crisis is due to the Bush administration, and by voting for the bill the Republicans would agree to that. Nothing about CRA and affordable housing. Nothing about the war which Congress approved. It’s all the fault of the free market.
I am torn between thinking this is childish, and fury at this narrowminded action.
The problem is simple: no one is sure that a bailout is needed. If a bailout has the effect of empowering those who caused this mess to begin with, then it might make things much worse; and Pelosi’s triumphant cackle fixing all blame on Bush does not generate great confidence. If the official Democratic Party view is that there was nothing wrong with the notion of setting up Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and pushing banks to make bad loans so that we can have more affordable housing and more home ownership, then it is a clear demonstration that the Democrats either do not know, or do not care, what their contribution to this mess has been.
So, to me, it seems abundantly clear that the Democrats don't see the current situation as a crisis, and are acting like everything is business as usual. To me, that says -- far more clearly than their words -- that they don't think things are anywhere as bad as they say they are.
And that is what convinces me that things are far worse than they think.
Because the Democrats have been consistently wrong on the whole situation, and have been for years. There is no end of videos of leading Democrats praising Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac's stability, of their performance, defending the leaders (most notably Franklin Raines and Jim Johnson), and thoroughly denouncing and scuttling numerous attempts to head off the problems that have started to come to a head in the past month or so.
It's a kind of negative evidence, but it's persuasive to me: the Democrats have a solidly established record of being utterly and completely wrong on the whole mess. They are now acting as if the situation isn't so bad, and are still far more interested in playing their run-of-the-mill political games with the whole process. If they are still wrong (and the odds are highly in favor of that conclusion), then we are in real trouble and the bailout that they don't seem to care about whether or not it passes is probably a necessary evil.
Mr. Tea also points out that the democrats tried hanging unrelated riders on the bill:
When the bailout package was first being kicked around, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid tried to sneak into law an extension of the ban on developing shale oil. He was hoping that no one would be paying attention to a very innocuously-worded amendment to the Homeland Security Appropriations Act.
Then, when the bill itself was being crafted, Democrats tried to write in a subsidy to groups like ACORN and help even more people who probably shouldn't buy houses buy houses. Paying off one's allies is a time-honored partisan tradition, the kind of thing that really ought to be set aside when there is a real crisis.
More at Mr. Reynolds blog.
Just how important was this bill to the democrats? This is probably a good measure. Obama Campaign co-chair Jesse Jackson, Jr. voted against the bill.
Monday, September 29, 2008
The movement's biggest victory, of course, came when Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac began buying up the riskier loans - providing fresh incentive for banks to make even more of them.
No need to recount where all that led.
Meanwhile, Obama was right there by ACORN's side all along.
"I've been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career," he told the group last November.
Indeed, in the early '90s, Obama was recruited by Talbott herself to run training sessions for ACORN activists.
ACORN also got funding from two charities, the Woods Fund and the Joyce Foundation, when Obama served on their boards, and from the Chicago Annenberg Challenge - the radical "education reform" outfit Obama ran from '95 to '99.
Interesting that ACORN is deeply involved in the Freddie/Fannie scandal.
She is the Speaker of the House. Head of the Majority party in the House.
The bailout bill could have passed if every single Republican in the House voted against it.
The bill was killed by the 95 democrats who voted against it.
This is a clear example of why congressional approval ratings are the lowest of all times.
democrat Nancy Pelosi is the Worst. Speaker. Ever.
Given the hyper-partisan speech she gave earlier today, it makes one wonder if she didn't want the bill to fail.
Update: It's official. The so-called "leader" of the democrats in the House, Nancy Pelosi wanted the bill to fail.
What is really interesting is that while the bill was under discussion on the floor of the house, a democrat leader was on NPR saying how the democrats would use the failure of the bill against the Republicans in the upcoming elections. Yup, it looks more and more like the democrats were planning on screwing over the American people to make political points.
...when you climb aboard a ship and find it filled to the gunwales with 33 Ukrainian T-72 tanks destined for gawd-only-knows where, it might be prudent to just climb quietly back off and motor away, because that's the sort of thievery that's going to draw attention.
Now, it strikes me that the sort of people who go shipping half a battalion's worth of main battle tanks around the seven seas are not the kind of people to take it lying down when their cargo goes missing. Boarding a ship and finding it full of tanks would be like burglarizing a house and finding a plaque on the mantlepiece "To Vinnie for faithful service. Love Don and the rest of the guys at La Cosa Nostra Enterprises"; the sensible criminal would just let himself out and apologize for the disturbance. Instead, our Somali rocket scientists are holed up on the boat and surrounded by warships.
The warships are there because the various governments of civilized and semi-civilized countries with interests in the area are wondering where the tanks were going. Kenya claims they purchased them at the big Labor Day Sale at Crazy Ivan's Used Tank Lot, but seems to be having difficulty coming up with a receipt.

Antoin “Tony” Rezko, a convicted influence peddler who was once one of Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s most trusted confidants, has met with federal prosecutors and is considering cooperating in the corruption probe of the governor’s administration, sources told the Tribune.
Rezko’s possible change of heart—after years of steadfast refusal—has sent ripples through a tight circle of prominent defense attorneys who represent dozens of potential witnesses and targets in the wide-ranging probe.
His cooperation would give prosecutors investigating the governor and his wife access to someone they have described as an ultimate political insider at the center of a pervasive pay-to-play scheme.
Odds are that Barak Obama was too far down on the totem pole of corrupt Chicago democrat machine politics to be heavily involved in anything Tony is going to sing about. At least that is what he is probably telling himself over and over again...
"Obama has mastered the trick of coming off as perfectly moderate — even when your career and thought have been very different. Listening to Obama last night, you would have taken him to be a Sam Nunn, David Boren type. No ACORN, no Ayers, no Wright, no community-organizin’ radicalism, no nothing. He certainly knows what it takes to appeal to people in a general election. Then, once he’s in — if he gets in — he will govern as far to the left as possible."
The far left extremist liberal "community organizer" Barak Obama is running from his record and is attacking those who try to tell the truth about him.
The same people who kept telling us there is no problem are now trying to tell us that they can fix the problem.
Leaving democrats in charge of Congress is "more of the same" America can't afford.
Barak H. Obama's "me too" moment was one of the low points of the debate.
The fact that he had to look at the bracelet to remember the name of the solider he was supposed to be honoring.
The family of Sgt. Ryan Jopek has their own story to tell.
Madison resident Brian Jopek, the father of Ryan Jopek, the young soldier who tragically lost his life to a roadside bomb in 2006, recently said on a Wisconsin Public Radio show that his family had asked Barack Obama to stop wearing the bracelet with his son's name on it. Yet Obama continues to do so despite the wishes of the family.
Radio host Glenn Moberg of the show "Route 51" asked Mr. Jopek, a man who believes in the efforts in Iraq and is not in favor of Obama's positions on the war, what he and his ex-wife think of Obama continually using their son's name on the campaign trail.
Jopek began by saying that his ex-wife was taken aback, even upset, that Obama has made the death of her son a campaign issue. Jopek says his wife gave Obama the bracelet because "she just wanted Mr. Obama to know Ryan's name." Jopek went on to say that "she wasn't looking to turn it into a big media event" and "just wanted it to be something between Barack Obama and herself." Apparently, they were all shocked it became such a big deal.
But, he also said that his ex-wife has refused further interviews on the matter and that she wanted Obama to stop wearing the reminder of her son's sacrifice that he keeps turning into a campaign soundbyte. This begins at about 10 minutes into the radio program.
The lesson here is that Barak Obama views the members of the American Military as simple political prop. They have no other value to him.
This is just another lie the Obama campaign is trying to get the American public to swallow.
Update: It looks like the parents of Sgt. Jopek are in disagreement over Obama's use of the bracelet in his campaign rhetoric. Sgt. Jopek's father has one view and his ex-wife has another.
Hot Air points out:
She asked Obama to stop talking about the bracelet out of respect for the feelings of other Gold Star families who still support the war. She was afraid the issue would get exploited by anti-war groups, and apparently she doesn’t want to become the next Cindy Sheehan. Ryan’s father Brian may feel differently about his son’s sacrifice (Brian is currently stationed in Guantanamo Bay), but Brian Jopek didn’t give Obama the bracelet.
We can criticize Obama for his delivery and for forgetting Jopek’s name in that moment of the debate, but Obama didn’t disrespect Tracy Jopek’s wishes.
The Obama team keeps bring up the specter of Osama bin Laden.
Barak Hussein Obama and his followers are trying to empower someone who has been reduced to hiding in caves, afraid to go within miles of a cell phone or a satellite phone.
The bottom line is no terrorist attacks on US soil since 9/11/2001. That is "more of the same" I can deal with.

I'm tweeting the debate
Ok, Obama did OK for a candidate with his lack of experience.
Just like his debates with HRC, Obama can't close the deal.
Barak clearly missed his teleprompter and needs to work on his off the cuff public speaking.
Senator McCain was able to discuss specifics on multiple issues while Obama dealt with hand waving broad brush strokes.
Obama also got flustered much more than McCain. Not a good sign, especially with the history of McCain's temper.
Obama stroked his base. Lot's of red meat class warfare rhetoric. Not that much to appeal to the center.
I'd have to give the debate to McCain, but on points. No knockdowns, no knockouts.
Of course he would have to score a knockout in order for the DNC/MSM to give him credit.
Because the actual truth would cause people not to vote for "the Lightgiver."
Here is an example of Barak Obama's campaign having to selective edit a quote to twist what was said 180 degress in order to fit their agenda.
The truth to is to liberal democrats as light is to Vampires.
As a wise Conservative woman said, "They win in the dark; we win in the light."
Code Pink is "declaring victory" and stopping their protests at the USMC recruiting station in Berkeley.
Here is the kicker, apparently the word "Victory" means something different to the hard far left extremist moonbats of "Code Pink."
As the nice folks at This Ain't Hell point out, the US Marines are still there.
In fact, the USMC intends on staying to at least the end of the three year lease they have on the office space.
Protest Shooter has pictures of the rather tiny "victory celebration." Note that the "Code Pink" moonbats are also 9/11 Troofer moonbats too boot!
He also has a link to a cool shirt.
Berlin - German police arrested two terrorist suspects on board a Dutch airliner Friday, minutes before it was due to take off from Cologne-Bonn airport for Amsterdam. A police spokesman said a Somali man aged 23 and a 24-year-old German born in Mogadishu were escorted off the KLM Flight 1804 at 6:55 am (0455 GMT).
The two men had been under observation for several months. A search of their apartment had turned up farewell letters in which they declared their readiness to die in a jihad or holy war, the police spokesman said.
The arrests came a day after police appealed to the public to help track down two missing Islamists, one of them a German convert, who were suspected of membership in a terrorist group called the Islamic Jihad Union (IJU), often described as a successor to al-Qaeda.
Police said they were pursuing about 20 leads related to Eric Breininger, a 21-year-old German, and Houssain al-Malla, a 23-year-old Lebanese, were last seen in the zone along the Pakistan-Afghan border. Police suspect they might have secretly returned to Germany.
Police said Breininger, who is from Saarland state in the west of the country, had recorded an internet video in which he spoke of carrying out a suicide attack and supported jihad or holy war.
Don't expect much Freedom of Speech under an Obama regime. He is already giving a glimpse into our possible future by threating to bringing lawsuits against broadcast stations. This is to intimidate them into not running NRA sponsored ads that tell the truth about Obama's anti-Civil Rights, Anti-Second Amendment record.
HT to Snowflakes in Hell
Update: A damn good point is raised over at Mr. Volokh's blog.
I fear that under the Obama administration, the lawyers sending these letters will be government employees.
I'd have to say it's a damn near certain thing.

Here is another example of an "open minded and tolerant liberal" at work.
A US Army reservist and Iraq War Veteran had his car vandalized by one or more "peace activists."
Dallas police are looking into a shocking crime against an Iraq War vet that took place on a college campus. Overnight Tuesday, someone took vandalized 23-year-old Army veteran Viktor Whitlow’s vehicle while it was parked at Dallas Baptist University. Ironically, the mascot at DBU is the Patriot.
The vandals used a box cutter to destroy the inside of his jeep, they slashed five tires and smashed through the windshield. Perhaps the most shocking detail to the vandalism was the message spray painted on his hood.
The "message" left was "Soldiers are murderers." Yup, another fine example of how liberals support the United State Military. Keep this in mind on November 4, 2008.
HT to Say Anything
Al Gore, who founded and runs a company that sells "Carbon Offset Credits," is calling for "civil disobedience to stop the construction of coal plants."
Perhaps Mr. Gore needs reminding of the rapid rate that Communist China is building dirty coal fired power plants.
Instead of trying to sabotage the US economy, he should try taking his show to Communist China and see how well it plays there.
Former Senator Tom Daschle, a top Obama backer, emailed a select list this afternoon that he and Johnson would be leading a briefing intended largely for Clinton's campaign brain trust next month.
"Jim Johnson and I have scheduled another informal breakfast discussion and update on the campaign early next month," he wrote to a list including Senator John Kerry, James Carville, and Richard Holbrooke, as well as Clinton's former top campaign aides, including Howard Wolfson, Geoff Garin, and Harold Ickes.
Johnson's involvement comes at a moment when political association with the failed mortgage giants is particularly toxic.

Update: Keep in mind that the Bush Administration was warning about problems with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae as far back as 2001. They were blocked by democrat congressman Barnie Frank, now chairman of the House Banking Committee and democrat Senator Chuck Schumer.
Authorities in Colorado’s El Paso County including the district attorney have begun investigating widespread voter fraud. County Clerk and Recorder Bob Balnik clearly identifies the problems come from far left liberal groups that either falsify information and/or do not turn in forms if someone registers for a party they don't like.

In Part 1 we discussed Barak Obama's resume inflation.
Part 2 talked about his greatest achievement.
Part 3 will focus on some actual "executive experience" that Barry Obama has.
As the WSJ points out:
Despite having authored two autobiographies, Barack Obama has never written about his most important executive experience. From 1995 to 1999, he led an education foundation called the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), and remained on the board until 2001. The group poured more than $100 million into the hands of community organizers and radical education activists.
The CAC was the brainchild of Bill Ayers, a founder of the Weather Underground in the 1960s. Among other feats, Mr. Ayers and his cohorts bombed the Pentagon, and he has never expressed regret for his actions. Barack Obama's first run for the Illinois State Senate was launched at a 1995 gathering at Mr. Ayers's home.
The Obama campaign has struggled to downplay that association. Last April, Sen. Obama dismissed Mr. Ayers as just "a guy who lives in my neighborhood," and "not somebody who I exchange ideas with on a regular basis." Yet documents in the CAC archives make clear that Mr. Ayers and Mr. Obama were partners in the CAC. Those archives are housed in the Richard J. Daley Library at the University of Illinois at Chicago and I've recently spent days looking through them.
The Obama campaign has cried foul when Bill Ayers comes up, claiming "guilt by association." Yet the issue here isn't guilt by association; it's guilt by participation. As CAC chairman, Mr. Obama was lending moral and financial support to Mr. Ayers and his radical circle. That is a story even if Mr. Ayers had never planted a single bomb 40 years ago.
Seriously, it's like the bulk of the MSM is in the tank for Barak H. Obama.
Just a little bit bit of actual investigative reporting would show the "rape kit charges" rumor is a complete fabrication, but that seems like too much work for CNN.
Last time we discussed Barak Obama's resume inflation.
Now the topic is one of his great successes.
Obama does have one major accomplishment on his record.
It is however, the Elephant (or this case jackass) in the room that no one wants to notice.
Barak Hussein Obama, and his George Soros bought and paid for team, beat the Clinton political machine in the democrat primary process.
At the start of the process, the "conventional wisdom" was that HRC was going to win early, win big, and carry all of the primaries in a massive landslide.
Team BO thought outside the box, examined the democrat primary system and gamed the system in order to defeat HRC and the Clinton political machine.
The method Team BO used, focusing on caucus states over primary election states, won't work in the general election. So they are now sweating bullets. They are neck and neck in a race that even hard core conservatives admit that democrats should be 15%-20% ahead in.
Why is it still such a close race?
Well, perhaps it has something to do with the simple fact that besides that one accomplishment, Barry really doesn't have much of anything of note on his resume.
Being a product of the corrupt Chicago democrat political machine (where the dead vote early and often) really isn't much of a "selling feature" in the vast parts of America outside the urban strongholds of liberalism.

By way of Riehl World View is this story on how the Ohio Secretary of State (a democrat) is illegally throwing out only Republican absentee ballots.
The lefts attack on the basic Civil Rights of Americans is starting early this year.
Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner has a reputation as the most partisan state official in Ohio. And she works hard to earn it. The Democrat's latest stunt rejected absentee ballots for thousands of Republicans.
Two Hamilton County voters have sued, accusing her of "the disenfranchisement of thousands of voters."
The John McCain campaign sent out more than 1 million applications for absentee ballots to Republicans. Each had a line at the top next to a box: "I am a qualified elector."
Brunner sent a memo telling county election officials to reject those applications for absentee ballots if the box was not checked. "Failure to check the box leaves both the applicant and the board of elections without verification that the applicant is a 'qualified elector'," she wrote.
But that's contrary to state law and Brunner doesn't have the authority, according to the lawsuit and an opinion from Hamilton County's Republican Prosecutor Joe Deters.
So much for "Change." The democrats are going to commit massive voter fraud once again in their lust for power.
First, we have Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton explaining why "Community Organizer" Barak Obama should not be President, so lets take the next step and vote McCain.
Second, we have former President Bill Clinton singing the praises of Senator McCain's running mate, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.
"I come from Arkansas, I get why she's hot out there," Clinton said. "Why she's doing well."
Speaking to reporters before his Clinton Global Initiative meeting, the former president described Palin's appeal by adding, "People look at her, and they say, 'All those kids. Something that happens in everybody's family. I'm glad she loves her daughter and she's not ashamed of her. Glad that girl's going around with her boyfriend. Glad they're going to get married.'"
Clinton said voters would think, "I like that little Down syndrome kid. One of them lives down the street. They're wonderful children. They're wonderful people. And I like the idea that this guy does those long-distance races. Stayed in the race for 500 miles with a broken arm. My kind of guy." . . .
"I get this," Clinton said. "My view is . . . why say, ever, anything bad about a person? Why don't we like them and celebrate them and be happy for her elevation to the ticket? And just say that she was a good choice for him and we disagree with them?"
HT to That's Just My Opinion on the Clinton Endorsement of the Republican ticket!
Well, now the chickens have come home to roost. European business leaders are threatening to take their businesses somewhere else where the environmental restrictions are not so damaging. They claim that the new carbon emissions offset programs amount to a "tax" (which they are, the EU just didn't want to call it that) and that the restrictions will cost "44 billion" a year in the next seven years.
China and India have no such restrictions and are exempt under the Kyoto treaty. Germany and Italy (both with some of the highest unemployment in Europe) are starting to wonder if these EU environmental demands shouldn't be scrapped while the head of the EU is confident that Sarkozy, with his environmental revolution campaign promise, will help ram it through the EU council.
By way of Election Journal is the story of the far left 527 "US Action" and its drive to register new voters, regardless of age, species or lack of a heartbeat.
It seems that the democrats are expanding their core voter constituencies beyond the dead.

The rumors are running rampant that democrat "community organizer" Barak H. Obama is going to throw his VP pick, Joe Biden (you know, the "experience" on the ticket, with 30 years of big government democrat politics in the Senate) under the same bus he threw his white grandmother and his long time pastor, the Rev Wright.
The timing is interesting, the alleged announcement is scheduled after the VP debates in early October. So if the very real possibility of Gov. Sarah Palin kicking his high taxes, big government ass concave, the Obama campaign can ditch Biden, "for health reasons" and bring in Hillary Rodham Clinton to save Barak "the Lightgiver" Obama from being beaten in November. Given the way the the democrats have been bleeding HRC supporters, that probably isn't a bad idea, at least in the short term.
In the long term, oh how Barak Hussein Obama is going to pay for selling out Biden.
Having Hillary, and Bill, in the White House, conducting their own press releases, and having their own staff of "experienced" White House hands, is going to make every day of his four year term (ya, like HRC is going to let him run again) seem like a living Hell on Earth.
Now this could just be the fantasies of hardcore PUMAs, but it does fit the Obama pattern of throwing those close to him under the wheels of the campaign bus in his raw, naked lust for power.
JawaReport has been doing something MSNBC or CNN won't do, actual investigative reporting about Barak Obama and his campaign. It is an ugly story that the worshipers of the "Lightgiver" don't want to face.
Our research suggests that a subdivision of one of the largest public relations firms in the world most likely started and promulgated rumors about Sarah Palin that were known to be false. These rumors were spread in a surreptitious manner to avoid exposure.
It is also likely that the PR firm was paid by outside sources to run the smear campaign. While not conclusive, evidence suggests a link to the Barack Obama campaign. Namely:- Evidence suggests that a YouTube video with false claims about Palin was uploaded and promoted by members of a professional PR firm.
- The family that runs the PR firm has extensive ties to the Democratic Party, the netroots, and are staunch Obama supporters.
- Evidence suggests that the firm engaged in a concerted effort to distribute the video in such a way that it would appear to have gone viral on its own. Yet this effort took place on company time.
Evidence suggests that these distribution efforts included actions by at least one employee of the firm who is unconnected with the family running the company.
-The voice-over artist used in this supposedly amateur video is a professional.
-This same voice-over artist has worked extensively with David Axelrod's firm, which has a history of engaging in phony grassroots efforts, otherwise known as "astroturfing."
-David Axelrod is Barack Obama's chief media strategist.
-The same voice-over artist has worked directly for the Barack Obama campaign.
There is a lot more, including possible FEC violations, and pushing the anti-Sarah Palin smear video they produced to far left extremist web sites that would spread it even if they knew it was a pack of lies.
Like so much far left extremists astroturf, if you follow the money, it leads back to George Soros. Expect the far left extremist 527s to start spreading even more lies about Senator McCain and Gov. Palin.
The Obama campaign appears to be organizing a coordinated smear campaign of epic proportions.
The Palin smear video analyzed here fits in nicely with the post-Palin pick narrative being offered by the Obama campaign. That narrative is that John McCain may not fill out his term in office. The narrative is bolstered by questions about McCain's age, the present status of the skin cancer he once had, and by demands that his medical records be released.
The second ingredient in the narrative paints Sarah Palin -- who would take McCain's vacated Presidential office -- as not ready for the job. Obama's campaign has called her experience & intelligence into question, but there is also a "grassroots" viral campaign of deception that claims Palin is on the political fringe and is a religious lunatic.
Just in the past week, since we first began following the astroturfing of Sarah Palin, rumors have circulated that Palin was a member of the John Birch Society and that she hates rape victims. Bored with the spreading the lie that Palin thinks the Earth is 6,000 years old and that she banned books, this week the netroots are claiming that she supports witch hunts. Not metaphorical witch hunts, actual witch hunts.
Clearly, the truth doesn't matter to these Obama supporters. They are engaging in the lowest forms of fear mongering.
It does look like the Jawa Report has uncovered some ugly truth about the far left extremists in the Obama Campaign. A sure sign is that the coverup has begun.
UPDATE: Within an hour of this post going up, YouTube videos implicating Ethan Winner were yanked, sockpuppet accounts deleted, and more importantly, the Wikipedia entry on David Axelrod began to edit out mentions of his well know astroturfing campaigns. Hmmm, it sounds to me like we're on to something.
Take the time to read the whole thing.

You just knew that when Joe O'Connell, former head of the local AFL-CIO, got on stage here with John McCain and Sarah Palin things were not going smoothly for the Obama campaign among union voters.
"I am a lifelong Democrat, an intelligent Democrat, who is supporting John McCain," O'Connell said last week as a crowd of 7,000 waved "Another Democrat for John McCain" signs and roared its approval.
The list is growing.
According to factcheck.org, Community Organizer Barak H. Obama is flat out lying about Senator John McCain's Social Security plan.
Just another example of what American can expect from an Obama administration.
"Superior’s owners were to sub-prime lending, what Michael Milken was to junk bonds.”In other words, if you traced today’s sub-prime crisis back to its origins, you would come upon the role of the Pritzkers and Superior Bank of Chicago."

According the the London Daily Mail, it's Republican Gov. of Alaska and Senator John McCain's running mate, Sarah Palin.
Not since Princess Diana's death can I recall ever walking into a newsagent and seeing just one woman's face staring out from every cover.
Moreover, while Obama appears to have been on a lifelong search for his identity, Palin has never wondered who she was or where she was from.
Whether you share her values or not, the moral certainties of this evangelical smalltown conservative are core to her appeal.
And while the East Coast intellectuals may sneer at her homespun ideology and lack of experience, these are the very credentials that are attracting an increasing number of middle Americans.
In Palin they see optimism; in Obama cynicism. In Palin they see pride in her country; in Obama an element of shame.
it's because she is anti-politics. Alaska may be only a small state, but with an approval rating of 76 per cent, Palin is the most popular governor in the U.S. And she's done it by breaking the mould.
She has stood up for ordinary people and taken on the Washington establishment.
Her first acts in office were to place the governor's jet for sale on eBay and sack the cook. Her record in taking on her own party is every bit as forthright and pragmatic, according to those who have watched her closely in Alaska.
[...]it has fuelled the lurking suspicion that Obama doesn't really like women, or at least not women like Palin - white working-class women without fancy degrees or the mannered eloquence that comes from a top university education.
There is a growing sense that Obama and his wife, Michelle, are secretly condescending to ordinary folk, contemptuous of their smalltown ambitions and narrow horizons.
The Sarah Palin story does speak more to the values of the "fly over" states (as the liberal democrats comtemptuously call them), than the Harvard Law School/"Community Organizer" Obama story.
Sarah Palin, like former President Bill Clinton, harks back to the old saying that anyone in America can grow up to be President. Personally, I think her story appeals to Bill Clinton more than Obama's does, and that he is secretly rooting for her.
The other key point here is that Sarah Palin talks to the American people and Barak H. Obama talks down to them.
Update: Former 2 term democrat President Bill Clinton warned the nut roots about Gov. Sarah Palin.
"She's an instinctively effective candidate and with a compelling story,"
"I think she, I get why she's done so well. It's a mistake to underestimate her. She's got good intuitive skills. They're significant,"
The best part...Bill Clinton's honesty is driving the nut roots even battier than their typical moon bat state.
Bonus Update: Ralph Peters speaks of "Palin's anti-elitist charm" in the NY Post.
The sneering elites and their mediacrat fellow travelers just don't get it: How on earth could anyone vote for someone who didn't attend an Ivy League school? And having more than 1.7 children marks any woman as a rube. (If Palin had any taste, her teenage daughter would've had a quiet abortion in a discreet facility.)
And what kind of retro-Barbie would stay happily married to her high-school sweetheart? Ugh.
The opinion-maker elites see Sarah Palin clearly every time they look up from another sneering article in The New Yorker: She's a country-bumpkin chumpette from a hick state with low latte availability. She's not one of them and never will be. That's the real disqualifier in this race.
Now let me tell you what those postmodern bigots with their multiple vacation homes and their disappointing trust-fund kids don't see:
Sarah Palin's one of us. She actually represents the American people.
When The New York Times, CNN, the NBC basket of basket cases and all the barking blog dogs insult Palin, they're insulting us. When they smear her, they're smearing every American who actually works for a living, who doesn't expect a handout, who doesn't have a full-time accountant to parse the family taxes, who believes in the Pledge of Allegiance and who thinks a church is more than just a tedious stop on daughter Emily's 100K wedding day.
After spending a year under fire as an infantry platoon leader in Vietnam, I returned to the U. S. and went to law school. Afterwards, by dint of hard work and many long nights, I got to the point where Joe Biden wants to take money from me to redistribute to others. That may be a fair political debate, but it is galling beyond measure to hear him present it as my patriotic duty.
I am the same age as Joe Biden. Unlike him, however, I have not been a politician virtually all my adult life. But I have been to war for this country — I was fighting the North Vietnamese army when Joe Biden was preparing to run for the U. S. senate. My son has served three tours in intense combat in Iraq. My nephews have done the same. I’ll be damned if I will be lectured on patriotic duty by the likes of Joe Biden.
On of the major problems that "Community Organizer" Barry Obama has had to deal with is his almost complete lack of actual experience at a real job.
Well, it seems that the problem is even worse than it appears. It seems that Mr. Obama has been "inflating" his resume.
...one of [Obama's] co-workers, Dan Armstrong, has in fact written about Mr. Obama during those days. And while he is an admitted fan of Obama’s, he claims that he has inflated his resume considerably.
Others who worked with Obama at Business International have subsequently chimed in.
Mr. Armstrong writes:
I have to say that Barack engages in some serious exaggeration when he describes a job that he held in the mid-1980s. I know because I sat down the hall from him, in the same department, and worked closely with his boss. I can’t say I was particularly close to Barack - he was reserved and distant towards all of his co-workers - but I was probably as close to him as anyone. I certainly know what he did there, and it bears only a loose resemblance to what he wrote in his book.
If Barack was promoted, his new job responsibilities were more of the same - rewriting other people’s copy. As far as I know, he always had a small office, and the idea that he had a secretary is laughable. Only the company president had a secretary. Barack never left the office, never wore a tie, and had neither reason nor opportunity to interview Japanese financiers or German bond traders.
So the democrats have put up an empty suit that is the product of the old fashioned Chicago democrat machine politics. Then they have the audacity to tell the American People that this is "Change." Let's be real here folks, the only change you can expect from the democrats under Obama is the change that used to be in your pocket. That will be long gone after they jack your taxes through the roof. Don't let 'em fool you. If you have money, you count as "the rich" and can expect to get soaked.
I just got back home from the McCain-Palin Rally at the Anoka County Airport.
The public address system sucked.
I was halfway down the very large hangar at the north end of the airport (someone could really play football in there) and about half the time it sounded like SP and JSM were blessing the cheese makers.
It would have really helped to have another set of loudspeakers about halfway down the hangar.
Also a woman fainted about ten feet away from me when JSM and SP arrived.

Color me not surprised. This is the typical nasty, personal dirty tricks stuff that the democrats are famous for.
The hacker is one David Kernell, the son of democrat state Rep. Mike Kernell.
You can find more details at AoSHQ and Gateway Pundit.
It is interesting to note that democrat dirty tricks artist David Kernell's cyber history is quickly being shut down. It is also interesting, but hardly surprising the the DNC/MSM havn't touched this long after the local stations have covered the story.
Update: The FBI served a a federal search on David Kernell place of residence.
In an interview Thursday, Miguel D. Lausell, a Puerto Rican businessman and longtime Democratic activist and fund-raiser, came out for Sen. McCain. While he said he doesn't agree with all the policy positions of the Republican candidate and his running mate, Sarah Palin, Mr. Lausell added: "I find McCain to be a sound person and a man with a track record. I know where he is coming from." Mr. Lausell had been a major backer of Bill Clinton and served as a senior political adviser to Sen. Clinton's unsuccessful bid this year for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Mr. Lausell said he feels Sen. Obama "doesn't really regard the Hispanic community as important." Sen. Clinton won a large majority of the Hispanic vote in most primaries, and Latino voters are an important bloc in swing states such as Florida, Nevada and New Mexico.
Mr. Lausell cited several objections he has with Sen. Obama. "The U.S. is in a very difficult situation these days and I don't want someone without experience at the helm," he said. Mr. Lausell said he likes Delaware Sen. Joe Biden, but felt that if Sen. Obama was going to reach inside of Washington for a vice presidential running mate, he should have chosen Sen. Clinton, "who received 18 million votes" during the presidential primaries.
The number of Obama defections grows.

Forget the Tina Fey SNL mockery and all the marginalia being written about Sarah Palin now. She did four real things in Alaska that make her fit for anyone interested in a reform presidency.
She took on: her party's state chairman, her party's state attorney general, GOP Gov. Frank Murkowski's tainted gas pipeline project, and then she supported a GOP candidate who ran against Alaska's "untouchable" GOP congressional earmarker, Don Young.
One way or another, each episode involved severing the sleazy ties that bind public officials to grasping commercial interests, something even the Democratic left purports to favor.
It isn't just Washington and Juneau. You could open the nozzle on the same reform fire hose to wash the public-private slime out of the capital hallways of New York, New Jersey, California, Illinois and onward.
You say Sarah Palin doesn't have enough "experience" to run Washington? Washington is barely fit to be run.
Barak Obama's record is lacking anything resemblinging real reform. If what want to know what to expect from Obama, take a look at his campaign advisors, like the CEO of Freddie Mac.

Skillicorn has been watching out for verbal “spin”. He has developed an algorithm that evaluates word usage within the text of a conversation or speech to determine when a person “presents themselves or their content in a way that does not necessarily reflect what they know to be true”…
Each of the candidates had made speeches containing very high and very low levels of spin, according to Skillicorn’s program, depending on the occasion. In general though, Obama’s speeches contain considerably higher spin than either McCain or Clinton. For example, for their speeches accepting their party’s nomination for president, Obama’s speech scored a spin value of 6.7 - where 0 is the average level of spin within all the political speeches analysed, and positive values represent higher spin. In contrast, McCain’s speech scored -7.58, while Hillary Clinton’s speech at the Democratic National Convention scored 0.15. Skillicorn also found that Sarah Palin’s speeches contain slightly more spin than average…
Obama’s spin level skyrockets when facing problems in the press, such as when Jeremiah Wright, the reverend of his former church, made controversial comments to the press.
“When you see these crises come along, the spin goes up,” Skillicorn says. “Obama is very good at using stirring rhetoric to deal with the issues. And it seems to work if you look at what happens in the polls afterwards.”
Of course Obama has to spin and spin hard. If he told the truth, he wouldn't get elected.
As an executive at Fannie Mae, Franklin Raines illegally coerced his employees to falsify accounting facts so he’d get a maximum bonus. The government-backed firm used Enron-like fraud, in part at Raines’s orders, to create the largest bail-out in US history. Raines had the whistleblower fired.
Now, this criminal is Barack Obama’s campaign adviser. Only one member of Congress, Chris Dodd, received more kickbacks from Raines’s Fannie Mae cronies than did Barack Obama–over $120,000 in bribes.
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac control almost 50 percent of all mortgages in the United States. They were started by Democrats, protected by Democrat, funded by Democrats, and absorbed into the government proper at the behest of their paid hacks in the Democrat party. Conservatives have advocated the demolition of these twin towers of corruption, fraud, and bribery for decades. But Democrats blocked every attempt to even hold hearings on corruption in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
Don't hold your breath waiting for this one to get reported on MSNBC, CNN or in the NY Times.

In addition to the five illegals, John Boyd, son of [democrat] Florida Congressman Allen Boyd was also found with a supply of crystal methamphetamine, four unopened syringes, a spoon with white residue and burn marks on the bottom.
Nowhere in the story is the party of Congressman Boyd mentioned. So of course, that makes it pretty much dead certain that Congressman Boyd is a democrat.

That is just so cool...
I'm talking about basic Civil Rights and specifically the concept of equal pay for equal work. The Pittsburg Free Tribune points out that in democrat Barak Hussein Obama's office, women are paid an average of $9,000 less than men.
Contrast this to the staff in Senator John McCain's office, where women actually average higher salaries than the men.
Actions speak louder than words. PUMAs take note.
By way of Hot Air is this story from the Detroit Free Press.
Several municipal clerks across the state are reporting fraudulent and duplicate voter registration applications, most of them from a nationwide community activist group working to help low- and moderate-income families.
The majority of the problem applications are coming from the group ACORN, Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, which has a large voter registration program among its many social service programs. ACORN’s Michigan branch, based in Detroit, has enrolled 200,000 voters statewide in recent months, mostly with the use of paid, part-time employees.
“There appears to be a sizeable number of duplicate and fraudulent applications,” said Kelly Chesney, spokeswoman for the Michigan Secretary of State’s Office. “And it appears to be widespread.”
Ed Morrissey sums it up well:
Either the leadership of ACORN encourages fraud, or it hasn’t the competence to keep it from happening. Given the convictions of some of its workers for fraud and the continuing instances of it, it doesn’t appear that ACORN has any desire to stop fraud, and indeed operates for the purpose of committing it.
The Department of Justice needs to open a RICO probe into ACORN. The RICO statutes make the leaders of a criminal enterprise personally responsible for the crimes committed by its members. If the DoJ can establish that ACORN management has encouraged fraudulent practices from the top down, that puts it within RICO territory. The repetition of their fraud in multiple jurisdictions make it clear that it’s not just coincidence at work here.
Once again, this calls into question why Barack Obama pays ACORN for his GOTV efforts. With criminal investigations underway in several states and now hopefully a federal investigation about to start, Obama shows extremely poor judgment in associating himself with such fraud — as well as paying $800,000 to fund it, unwittingly or not. As President, he would have the responsibility for enforcing voter-fraud laws. This doesn’t give much indication that he’d act to do so. So much for being a reformer.
Yup, Barak Hussein Obama is a supporter and funder of the left wing vote fraud organization "ACORN." You can view this as an indication of what you could expect from the federal government under an Obama administration.
Voter Fraud is a pattern of behavior for ACORN.

Barak Hussein Obama's once comfortable 18 point lead in the state of New York has dropped 18 points to a much narrower 5 point lead.
Hot Air points out that Senator McCain is leading in some key voter issues:
McCain has made significant gains in New York largely on national security and personal attributes. He wins on terrorism, 54-33, and edges Obama in ensuring American strength, 47-41. McCain obliterates him on personal qualities, especially patriotism (59-21), experience (73-18), and perhaps most unsettling for Team O, integrity (43-38).
Several sites that track individual state polls and post Electoral College maps based on them show an interesting sight.
First let us look at this one from Real Clear Politics.
Wow! McCain is head not only in solid states (172 to 157), but "leaning" states (55 to 50) as well, with a higher vote count in both columns. What is even more interesting, but hardly surprising, is that the DNC/MSM isn't running this story.
It gets better. Let's look at what RCP lists as the state by state changes in the last three months.
Minnesota has gone from "leaning Obama" to "toss up."
Indiana and Florida have gone from "toss up" to "leaning McCain."
North Carolina and Georgia have gone from "leaning McCain" to "Solid McCain."
The map at electoral-vote.com shows the same trend, but with smaller margins.
This is a trend that is probably contributing to the continued sedation of Michelle Obama.

GIBSON: Have you ever met a foreign head of state?
PALIN: There in the state of Alaska, our international trade activities bring in many leaders of other countries.
GIBSON: And all governors deal with trade delegations.
GIBSON: Who act at the behest of their governments.
PALIN: Right, right.
GIBSON: I’m talking about somebody who’s a head of state, who can negotiate for that country. Ever met one?
PALIN: I have not and I think if you go back in history and if you ask that question of many vice presidents, they may have the same answer that I just gave you. But, Charlie, again, we’ve got to remember what the desire is in this nation at this time. It is for no more politics as usual and somebody’s big, fat resume maybe that shows decades and decades in that Washington establishment, where, yes, they’ve had opportunities to meet heads of state … these last couple of weeks … it has been overwhelming to me that confirmation of the message that Americans are getting sick and tired of that self-dealing and kind of that closed door, good old boy network that has been the Washington elite.
PALIN: No, no. I agree with John McCain that nuclear weapons in the hands of those who would seek to destroy our allies, in this case, we’re talking about Israel, we’re talking about Ahmadinejad’s comment about Israel being the “stinking corpse, should be wiped off the face of the earth,” that’s atrocious. That’s unacceptable.
GIBSON: So what do you do about a nuclear Iran?
PALIN: We have got to make sure that these weapons of mass destruction, that nuclear weapons are not given to those hands of Ahmadinejad, not that he would use them, but that he would allow terrorists to be able to use them. So we have got to put the pressure on Iran and we have got to count on our allies to help us, diplomatic pressure.
GIBSON: But, Governor, we’ve threatened greater sanctions against Iran for a long time. It hasn’t done any good. It hasn’t stemmed their nuclear program.
PALIN: We need to pursue those and we need to implement those. We cannot back off. We cannot just concede that, oh, gee, maybe they’re going to have nuclear weapons, what can we do about it. No way, not Americans. We do not have to stand for that.
There is lots more. Go read the whole thing.

In his latest attack ad against Republican Senator John McCain, democrat "Community Organizer" Barak Hussein Obama is trying to claim that Senator McCain is "out of touch" with America.
Let's get this straight, the Harvard Lawyer who never held a real job in his life, married to another Harvard lawyer, who were married in the church they attended for twenty years and "preached" that the CIA invented the AIDS virus as part of their plan to commit genocide against the black race and that Israel is building weapons that only target arabs and blacks, is claiming that the combat veteran who is married to a woman who owns a beer distribution company and has two kids in the US military is "out of touch" with America?
Seriously, I want to know what drugs the Obama campaign managers are using.
Update: The real reason Senator McCain doesn't use email.
McCain gets emotional at the mention of military families needing food stamps or veterans lacking health care. The outrage comes from inside: McCain's severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard, or tying his shoes.
So, this attack ad of "community organizer" Barak Obama is worse than democrat VP pick Joe Biden's gafe of asking a man in wheelchair to stand up.
The daily Gallup Poll for 9/11/2008 shows McCain 48% & Obama 44%.
The money quote, "McCain has held significant lead for last four days."
This is a poll of registered voters. I'll go out on a limb and say a poll of likely voters will show McCain being even farther ahead.
Gerard Baker may have the answer to the widening gap in the polls.
Even if you think that Americans should want to turn their country into a European-style system, there is a perfectly good reason that you might have grave doubts about Mr Obama.
The essential problem coming to light is a profound disconnect between the Barack Obama of the candidate’s speeches, and the Barack Obama who has actually been in politics for the past decade or so.
Speechmaker Obama has built his campaign on the promise of reform, the need to change the culture of American political life, to take on the special interests that undermine government’s effectiveness and erode trust in the system itself,
Politician Obama rose through a Chicago machine that is notoriously the most corrupt in the country.
Ed Morrissey continues:
His post-partisanship doesn’t stand up to scrutiny, either. As Baker notes, Obama has no track record of standing up to his party in Congress, either. His only real record of reform comes from a bill creating a searchable budget website, co-authored with Tom Coburn, and so controversial that it met no opposition whatsoever.
Obama asks the nation to take on faith that he will somehow become something completely different than the machine pol he has been throughout his brief political career. Meanwhile, he also asks voters to take on faith that John McCain will somehow become a carbon copy of George Bush despite a decades-long history of fighting wasteful spending. He wants Americans to believe that he has the superior judgment in time of war, and at the same time ask them to forget that John McCain got the surge right and he got it completely wrong.
That seemed to work, at least for a while, but Americans have begun to realize that Obama not only has little political experience, he has none in reform or leadership. Indeed, on both, he’s given some good speeches, but he’s never actually accomplished anything. Instead of beating Obama on the head with lipstick, McCain should be running ads that ask, “What has Obama ever done except run for office?”
It's nice to see that these fellows are catching up with me.
Charles Krauthammer makes an dead on accurate observation:
But Palin is not just a problem for Obama. She is also a symptom of what ails him. Before Palin, Obama was the ultimate celebrity candidate. For no presidential nominee in living memory had the gap between adulation and achievement been so great. Which is why McCain’s Paris Hilton ads struck such a nerve. Obama’s meteoric rise was based not on issues — there was not a dime’s worth of difference between him and Hillary on issues — but on narrative, on eloquence, on charisma.
The unease at the Denver convention, the feeling of buyer’s remorse, was the Democrats’ realization that the arc of Obama’s celebrity had peaked — and had now entered a period of its steepest decline. That Palin could so instantly steal the celebrity spotlight is a reflection of that decline.
That would be ABC's Charlie Gibson. In his interview with Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Republican Vice-Presidential nominee, he brought up the "Bush Doctrine." Gibson also made it painfully obvious he didn't know what he was talking about. This the exact statement from his interview.
GIBSON: The Bush doctrine, as I understand it, is that we have the right of anticipatory self-defense, that we have the right to a preemptive strike against any other country that we think is going to attack us. Do you agree with that?
It's not that hard, former Clinton staffer and star of the documentary "The War Room", George Stephanopoulos was able to clearly state it back in December 2001:
Two years ago, September 1999, Bush gave his first speech when he was running about terrorism. And his first--had the first explanation of the Bush doctrine, that if you harbor a terrorist, you're going to be attacked. The Bush White House is putting this out, saying it shows that Bush was very prescient, but that was only one speech given in the campaign.

"Make no mistake about this," Biden responded. "Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America. Let’s get that straight. You nailed it there Joe.
South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler sharply attacked Sarah Palin today, saying John McCain had chosen a running mate "whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”
Yup, nothing as close minded and intolerant as an "open minded and tolerant liberal."
As the wise men who created South Park said, "some pissed off Muslims" attacked the United States of America. Here are pictures of the event that Keith Olbermann doesn't want Americans to see.
Dr. John Ray sums it up:

"Tom Kratman's A Desert Called Peace is practically the platonic ideal of epic Jacksonian war-porn. The printing process involves soaking the books in testosterone. It is so beautifully, terribly and gloriously Jacksonian, in fact, that merely reading the book carries the risk of pregnancy for unprotected women and metrosexuals." -- Albert Norman, connoisseur of fine literature.

Hillary Rodham Clinton is out on the campaign trail, pitching for Barak H. Obama, but that's it. She's not going to attack Gov. Sarah Palin.
The New York Observer has an interesting observation on the "relations" between the George Soros approved Barak Hussein Obama far left extremist wing of the democrat party and the "we can actually win national elections" Clinton wing of the party.
The consensus there, based on conversations with present and former Clinton advisers, is that the Obama campaign has isolated itself both as a result of its desire to break with the Clintons and establish itself as the future of the Democratic Party, and out of primary-victory-inspired hubris.
The article also has some good Team Clinton insight on why "Community Organizer" Obama is behind in the polls:
With the McCain campaign running tactical circles every day around the Obama outfit—which has failed, somewhat unbelievably, to come up with even a semi-compelling response to the Palin selection—one might think Mrs. Clinton, to say nothing of her sidelined husband, would be a useful surrogate on the counterattack right about now. Apparently, the Obama campaign does not agree.
“My concern is that I see them as totally reactive right now as opposed to getting out there on their own and saying what the hell they are about,” said Leon Panetta, a former chief of staff to Bill Clinton who has advised Mr. Obama. “They seem to be intimidated by the Palin pick. They seem to be intimidated by how the Republicans are coming at them on change. And you cannot win if you are constantly on defense.”
Obama, who was seen as "The One" by the hard far left wing of his party, is not winning in a fifty state landslide, as they predicted. He's getting beat by Senator McCain because Senator McCain is acting inside Obama's decision loop and Obama is reacting like the political rookie he is on the national level.
Personally, I think Hillary Rodham Clinton, and William Jefferson Clinton, are watching Obama founder with a smile. A smile and and a hopeful eye on 2012.

Let's assume just for now that man's carbon dioxide emissions really are heating the world. Let's also assume that heating would be bad, and wouldn't actually help crops grow. Let's also ignore that the world has in fact cooled since 2002.
Even given all that, it's bizarre to think Australia should lead the world in slashing emissions, losing billions of dollars and thousands of jobs.
What difference to the world could Australia make, when we pump out less than 1.5 per cent of all man's greenhouse gases? Why make such sacrifices when giants such as China and India are stamping on the growth pedal, getting gassier by the week, and have vowed not to stop until they're rich?

Not Hillary, but Bill. Bill was a Governor who used his executive experience to counter the "Washington Insider" experience of Senators he was running against.
Bill Clinton is no blue blood. Unlike the Bush, Kennedy and Gore families, the Clintons were not multi-generational Washington, D.C. political families. He came from a humble background and worked his way into government service at the state level.
I'm not a big fan of Bill Clinton's politics, but I believe in giving credit where credit is due. Unlike Al Gore or John Kerry (and Barak Obama), Bill Clinton can walk into a doughnut shop shoot the breeze with the guy behind the counter. That ability to connect to the guy (or gal) with a lunch box in the "flyover states" is something that set him apart from President GHW Bush (and is one of things that gave President GW Bush his advantage over Gore and Kerry).
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has that ability to connect as well. Senator McCain also does, but not as much as she does. The Harvard Law School trained "Community Organizer" doesn't. That is why he is actively avoiding the Town Hall debates with Senator McCain that have been attempted all summer. Joe Biden doesn't have it either. He's been a big government, high taxes, Big Brother democrat in Washington, D.C. for the past 30 years.
The word is that the Clintons are not going to join the DNC and the MSM in attacking Gov. Palin. Now Hillary has her reasons, she needs Obama to loose in order to run in 2012. Perhaps one of Bill's reasons is that he see some himself in Sarah Palin.
