Wow! I Didn't Know That About Ranger Sergeant Tillman.

We can admire Tillman’s decision to leave the NFL in his prime — leaving behind millions of dollars — to become an Army Ranger following the Sept. 11, 2001, tragedy.

When he played, Tillman represented the best qualities of the NFL.
He remained with the Cardinals, despite being offered nearly three times as much money to join the Rams.

The fact that Arizona offered him less money than St. Louis didn’t faze him in the least. He didn’t attempt to engage the teams in a costly bidding war.

He just wanted to play football.
