Ok, I admit my bias, I'm not much of fantasy fan. I couldn't get past the first 50 pages of the Two Towers when I was a kid.
I perferred Phillip Jose Farmer, Robert Heinlein and Louis L'Amour.

The movie was good, but not 11 Oscars good. Oh ya, while I'm ranting, Johnny Depp & Ben Kingsley got robbed.
