Alterman’s and Green’s The Book on Bush is tedious and shallow. It reads like a musty encyclopedia. It provides little information, and certainly nothing new, about Bush’s background, his upbringing, and the central events of his life. It also incorporates just about every crackpot left-wing idea that exists on the Bush presidency.
